The mission of West-Oak Middle School is to guide students on their path to being college and career ready. 

OUR Vision

West-Oak Middle School will produce students that communicate effectively and solve problems through innovative solutions. We will create a culture and climate where students, faculty, and community all take ownership in the success of our students and their path to becoming college and career ready. This vision will be realized through a variety of learning experiences and opportunities for career exploration incorporating continuous communication between the school, community, parents and business leaders.

BOGO Book Fair

Principal Letter

The Buy One, Get One Free Scholastic Book Fair will be open Monday, April 22nd through Thursday, April 25th from 8am to 3:30pm. 

Now through April 26th, set-up an e-Wallet for your student shopper here.

You may shop the online fair April 19th through May 2nd. Items will be shipped to your home. The online fair is not BOGO, however.

Q3 Honor Roll Reward

Sweet Retreat in Walhalla is giving a free ice cream to every student who made the A/B Honor Roll for Q3. Students will need to show their ID to receive the treat. Begins Thursday, April 4th. Please visit their website for location information and more!

Applications are now being accepted for school choice for the 2024-2025 school year.   More details and the application can be found on the Enroll link on the district and all school websites.  Please note: Students' birthdate and student ID numbers will be required to apply.

Any parent wishing to apply for school choice for an incoming kindergarten student will be able to do so during   Kindergarten Pre-registration which  opens on Monday, March 4th.  

School Choice applications will be accepted through Friday, June 7th..

The School District of Oconee County has transitioned to MySchoolBucks for student payments for the 2023-2024 school year. This payment platform will be used for all payments, including meals, field trips, athletic tickets, and others.

 

Families are encouraged to download the MySchoolBucks app and set up their account. Families can use the QR code below or visit www.myschoolbucks.com to register for an account or to download the app.  A link can also be found on the parent table of the district and all school websites.  Once in the app, be sure to select "South Carolina" and "School District of Oconee County" so you can add your student.

It also includes a link to registration dates for next year, details on summer meals, and info on mental health resources. We encourage all of our families to read through the information provided.
